I have stumbled on this old post of mine here and I can't help but laugh at myself. It turned out that cutting meat out of our diet wasn't all that hard at all! What whas hard was re-learning how to cook! But as long as I am eating, I am fine :) And my family is ok too.
Occasionally my carnivore of a husband would bring some dead animal and devour it with the kids, but even he lately has been saying how yucky he feels after doing so. I just love him ;)
Now I am on a new mission - I want to incorporate a lot more raw things into our diet and I am raw on Mondays. Now, don't laugh (I prolly will a couple of years down the road) ;) that's all I can do for now. I know babysteps work best for me, when I change my whole way of thinking. That just doesn't happen overnight. And again the hardest thing is re-learning how to cook again!
So here I am again, asking if any of you have your favorite raw recipes. Some already became staples at our house like Kale chips, Chocolate Avocado pie, 'Cheese'cake (cashew cream cake), raw vegan sushi, massaged kale salad, raw zukini hummus.. I know I am forgetting something, but if you have a fav, do share a link or the whole recipe with me - it will be greatly appreciated!!
